In my last 3 swaps, I or the swapper, had asked for more coins than we agreed upon. But when the last of the two agreed to the swap. All coins from both swapper and swappee are checked, which makes it hard to know which ones were agreed to. Luckily I had added the incoming coins already to my coins and had made stacks of the outgoing ones, But my fellow swappers all had to ask me if I could help them out.

Can this problem be tackled?

The rule of thumb, for me at least, is that I do not confirm a swap until every single coin selected has both check-marks (by me and the swap partner).
So he and i should do that so there won't be any trouble. But why does the system do it then?
I had the same problem about a year ago. I thought it was solved because I didn't have the problem anymore afterwards. But it was very annoying. After the second swapper confirmed the swap suddenly all the coins were checked although not all coins were checked by both swappers, and none of us were 100 % sure about which coins we agreed upon. Very annoying indeed.
But like smoked_caramel said, we also came to the conclusion that all the coins which were checked by only 1 swapper got a double check after the second swapper made his confirmation.
So to avoid this problem (if the program can't fix this problem): before the second swapper confirms the swap be sure there are no coins with only 1 check, just delete those single checks.
I think the solution would be to "un-confirm" a swap, to allow editing of coins again.
I just finished a swap and this happened to me.

Now I have to guess what coins were included in the real swap.

Very annoying!
Lets adopt the KISS philosophy, "Keep It Simple Sucker"
the error remains and is indeed very annoying.
you basically can only confirm after you and the swap partner cleared all the coins that are not a part of the swap.

Agreed. I'd insist my swap partners to uncheck coins they aren't swapping. Had they confirmed the swap before doing that, I'd turn down the swap offer (NOT CANCELLING THE SWAP....there's a big difference) so that they could make proper adjustment.
Well, at least what we users can try to ask is, that a warning message appears before final confirmation, that not all coins are ticked from both sides equally. This should not be a big tech-issue and while the admins decide over the better solution, this one should do.

Hello,
I made a change to try avoiding such issue to occur again. See https://en.numista.com/forum/topic95766.html#p808586
