Iran 2000 dinar 1895- 1903 KM#974 reeded or smooth???

Hi all! I bought a coin of Iran
2000 dinar 1315/1898, https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces29126.html
there's no doubt in the
authenticity, but... the coin's
edge is smooth, and somewhere on the Internet they
say that the edge of this
coin is reeded and nowhere
is it written that is smooth.
How should it be? I wanna know.. Who
knows for sure, please answer! P.S. My coin diameter 28 mm, weight is 9.14 gramm

I have seen many younger coins that have circulated so much that the reeder edge has been worn smooth. Is it possible that this has happened to your coin?

like it was originally smooth
.. (If only the reeded edge was
too shallow and easily erased..?)
