1/2 dollar columbian exp. - 15€ (XF, almost UNC)
5 pesetas spain 1897 - 35€ (VF)
25 öre thule kap york - 40€ (XF/UNC?)
5 lire Sardinia (I do not remember date, something after 1820 and before 1850) -80€. (VF)
In which order should I buy these? Is there any that I probably should not buy?
I'd go for the Kap York (what date ?), then the columbian exp., then sardina, and last spain
But you should just buy them all at once, and next month you buy nothing...
Problem is : when you pass on something, chance is you'll never get the sam deal again.
If you like the coins, and you can affotd them, just go for it.
I agree with tony.c, if these are rare or rarely seen coins, then get the lot and forget the next month or so, as you will be looking at four amazing coins for that length of time, and more importantly, be patting yourself on the back for months for doing the right thing.
Lastly, please let us know what you do and show us the photographs.
Wishing you good luck on whatever you decide.
Geoff
that thule kap york 25 öre coin has only been minted in 1910, mintage 5000. They are pretty rare, only a few thule kap york coins on ebay. Other coins minted were 5, 100 and 500 öre. 100 and 500 öre coins are even rarer with a mintage of 2000, but the rarest are the 5 and 10 kronor coins (500) if we exclude the holeless 5 öre coin.
They are rare, the amount of all of the thule kap york coins minted is 15000
I'll pass on that one : it's missing two dots under the O of YORK
But seriously, I do not have a budget for that kind of coins, maybe in 20-30 years...
Have to raise 3 children now , and they cost a fortune !!!

:O can it be a replica, or just a...used coin...?
35€ for a 1897 5 Pesetas? A coin with over a 6.7 million mintage? Unless it's uncirculated and radiant, I would pay no more than 20€. My advice, don't buy. Go to Spain, which I recently did, and you can get them in buckets for melt value.
I guess I will go for a random one. Either the sardinian 5 lire or the kap new york coin. Probably the sardinian one first because it is the most rare and wanted one there. The kap new york 25ö can wait. They are both very interesting coins tho!

There's an obvious solution to this. Trade the children for coins! They're bound to get you at least a few choice pieces.
And I'm with luca biondi, please post pictures when you decide.
There are some minor circulation marks, but overall they look nice. You want pictures first ?
Obviously you'd like to have all of them, lol. But if spare money for your hobby is hard to come by, you may want to buy the most expensive / valuable one you can. If you wait, there will always be an excuse or reason why you won't be able to afford it again. The cheaper the coin, the easier it is to justify purchasing.

I wont. Actually I have always used the 20€/week. I am not in a bad situation, but rather fear that I'll get addicted to buying one of those 4000€ pattern ones.
