I've got two ... items that I can't identify. Any help appreciated!
First:
I suspect Turkish, or possibly Iraqi or Egyptian, but I can't make out any of the lettering on this one. I think it says "20" (in Arabic) in the second pic, just below and to the left of the middle.
Second:
This is actually made of plastic, so possibly doesn't belong on here at all, but I was just intrigued by the lettering: "Diamond Jubilee Bavarian Mak(?)". Not sure what Victoria has to do with Bavaria??
Remember that Victoria was also German Royal family from the house of Saxe Coburg and Gotha. I believe that their house ruled a sizeable area containing Thuringia which is just above Bavaria.
How on earth did you find that?? Thanks very much. I can't really make out the date either but I think it's 1911 (though I don't know where I'm supposed to find the subsequent 2-digit figure!).
Ha ha...I've just spent the last couple of days, cataloguing some Turkish coins with some help from members on here. I put in the date that I thought I saw in the search and looked through all that I saw. This one was the one that matched. Incedentally, your images are better as your coin is less worn. Would you consider uploading it?
In response to Bavaria...I've just read a wiki page on Victoria...struggling to find anything. Perhaps it is play money?
Yes, I expect it is play money, or spielmarke as I'm told they're called. I see you now have the same 20-para token that I asked about a few months ago!
I've just uploaded the pictures. Mine are a bit blurred when blown up, but I agree that the coins is less worn so it should be an improvement,
