I think it's a french coin, but I'm no expert in feudal coins.
I'm just guessing from the coat-of-arms, i think that's an Anjou coin.

It's probably a Feudal token from the 1300-1400's, according to the Gothic style of writing.

The advice is much appreciated, I will be off to the Library tomorrow, and let you know if I find anything else.

Hello!
It is a "jeton de compte", in english i can translate by a "token of account" or "trade token", i'm not sure.

merci beaucoup,
This coin is not mine but part of a lifetimes gathering of coins in drawers and bags by a friends father who has recently passed on, I would welcome any advice on disposal as that is what is intended. Most of the coins are British with a few foreign oddments.
Used time zone is UTC+2:00. Current time is 01:50.
