Coin Flips in Colors

9 posts
I keep seeing coins in red or yellow flips at coin shows. When I ask about it, the dealers inevitably either don't remember where they found them, or they acquired the coin in the flip.

Does anyone here know where I can buy coin flips that come in different colors? I think it would be useful for organization, depending on the number of colors available.

Thanks to anyone who responds.

Are they plastic or paper?
There are these paper envelopes - is that a flip?

EDIT: I think those are just called envelopes; this page has coloured flips ...

in blue or green or yellow or red. Here is the blue version ...

Described as "Frame-A-Coin double pocket flips provide the highest quality and clarity in soft vinyl flips for processing and storing coins. These color-coded flips are tinted on one side to facilitate sorting and organization of coins. Sold in packs of 100 flips with inserts".

Thanks for the reply.

Those are pretty cool. I might order some of those. 4 colors would allow me to identify a few categories / types quickly by site.

I was looking for the paper kind with the mylar window. I have it in my head, right or wrong, that the paper ones are more air tight once stapled. I am not sure if it is true, but it's in my head. I was looking for something like these, but in different colors:

Just saw your update, ZacUK. Much appreciated!

Saw this on Ebay:

You can't see much of the flip, but it looks like it is yellow.

Ah yes, that is what I was looking for. I looked at that seller's other items and that is the only one like it - otherwise would have written to him to ask where they were from. Like you said earlier most times the coin already comes in a coloured holder. Thanks. Will keep looking ...

I found them on eBay in India. Here are the green or red or yellow ones for example ...

And as an option, you might try "flags".

I recently bought some coins in Singapore and they came in the Yellow 2X2, so must be something trendy going on here in Asia...

I am an amateur coins collector. I came to know about these colorful coin flips through this discussion thread. I have to go to the coin exhibitions.
