Fake £2 Technology Coins? [solved]

3 posts
I've had a look at the info online but can't work out if I have fakes or not?
On my 1999, 2000 and 2011 (the ones I've found so far) £2 technology coins the writing on the edge is upside down.
If you place the portrait of the coins facing up you'll see the writing is the same but one is upside down. Checked against other £2 Coins too...
There appears to be no other difference from other coins... portrait/picture/hologram/edging all check out.
Sorry I don't have pictures of it...
So is it just that some get printed one way and others are printed upside down?
If so why does the £2 page in the Numista catalogue not reflect this?

Sorry if I have it wrong I'm new to collecting and making all my first mistakes 8)
It is random which way the edge lettering is.
Once the two parts of the coin are joined they then have the edge stamped.
They then go into a container which feeds the last part, where front and back are stamped together. So it is random which way they come out of that container. :)

There is confirmation a little down this page, which has other useful information ...

Thank you so much for your help and links... it was very interesting to read. I'll keep collecting with the writing both ways up I think as it makes it more fun.

Once again thank you.
