Buying a big coin lot from ebay USA

Hey guys
Do you know if buy a big coin lot from ebay USA , will I have to pay extra when the coins arrive in Romania?
Thank you
I know that if I buy a bigger lot of coins I have to pay customs duty and value added tax. If the package is smaller, then probably our custom doesn't stop it assuming there is not tag with value on the package.

There shouldn't be any customs duty for importing numismatics to the EU. 5% VAT if the HARM codes are correct.
I remember paying something a while ago when I received a small package, i'm scared how much it might be if I buy 10kgs :D
Council Regulation (EC) No. 1186/2009 of 16 November 2009 establishing a Community system of reliefs from customs duty (Official Journal No. L 324 of 10/12/2009, page 23
The correct HARM code for the seller to put on the package by the way is

9705 000060
In Austria importer pays customs duty on coins imported from the USA, if the package is valued more than 22-25 Euro (not sure about the minimum non-taxable amount): 20% on coins not older than 100 years and 10% on older coins.
I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.

Are you sure about this? I'd have thought all the EU import laws were aligned. Surely in this case it would be more efficient to import the coins to the UK (5% and 0% on 'investment gold') and then ship it within the EU to Austria.
I stopped buying coins from the US after I had to pay quite a lot extra to customs on a couple of coins purchased from Heritage Auctions. A purchase costing 5-10 dollars is no problem, but I don't buy cheap coins... Even Krause catalogues (books), coin albums and holders from the US are subject to customs duty in Austria.
My advice would be to carefully check Romanian postal customs regulations before importing a big lot of coins from the US.
