During the aftermath of WWII the Dutch government prohibited the export of Guilders so these tokens were issued for onboard use by families leaving the misery of war torn Europe for (mostly) North America, Australia and New Zealand.
Pretty interesting I thought, never seen one of these before, but not something I collect. However if one of our Dutch friends would like it or someone is collecting these I'll be happy to send it to you.
