Help Identifying Junk Bin Find [solved]

6 posts
Hi All,

I found this in a junk bin and after trying picture identifiers and the "text identifiers" we have on Numista (for currency name and country name), I'm still at a loss. If anyone can help even identify the country/year to help narrow the search, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks so much.

I see the number 1974 in Devanagari , together with some Arabic characters suggests India.
sorry that's all I've got.

Just throw that little fact in the coin search!

That is the Arabic script, yes but it is more likely to be Urdu than Arabic.

Here is your coin; a 1/4 Anna from Gwalior, an Indian Princely State. VS 1974 is 1917 in the Gregorian calendar.
