Hello,

anyone who could help me in identifying this small medal?
Unfortunately I could't seem to find any simmilar medal.

I guess it is a patriotic medal (Northern Italy?) and my guess is it should date from around 1880-1918

Metal: Silver
Weight: 3.54g
Diameter: 21mm

Thank you,

Paul

Not Swiss?
It was in a lot of exclusively Italian medals but you are right it could also be from Switzerland

Looks Swiss, Austrian....

I wouldn't completely cancel out Italy. Südtirol region of Italy also wear such traditional clothing.

From a German numismatics forum I got the information that the SJ on the medal means
Stefano Johnson, a mint from Milan but apparently they produced also medals for foreign countries not only for Italy.

it looks like a mortuary parade
Interi - imperative of interire : Die, disappear.
resistentibus - dative (or ablative) remaining, continuing, withstanding, opposing, resisting

I propose :
You die along with the praise of resistants

The reverse makes me think of some french coins...

It has almost the same wreath...
Maybe it could be from France, but made in Milan?

I hope this helps:)

Yes it looks the same, but a lot of countries have such wreath, with or without berries

Yes not only in France, a design that was very popular throughout the 19th century
