Voting until Sunday!

This competition is ridiculously long, almost 9 months and it's still not finished yet. If you're going to run it again next year can you cut it down?

That's why I was running two continents per month last year.
What? Me Worry
I personally don't have anything against the competition's runtime. If I remember correctly, Oleg began asking for MPCC submissions about Sept/Oct last year, and submissions remained open until the 1st of January 2018. If he plans on doing it again next year, then he could open submissions around the time this year's contest finals close, and get a nice annual loop going.

But of course, that's just my opinion. :°

The initial idea was to have each round 3 days long... but people complained and I've decided to extend voting to one week. Anyway, it's a good remark - if I get to organize it again, it will be much faster!

One year loop looks perfectly fine for me but it's so slow. I think that half a year or 4-5 months should be enough.

It's your call, though if you decide to make if a half-year thing, that could work too; Jan-June for contests, and Jul to Dec for submissions.

By the way, in the future will we be allowed to enter coin types that have won previous MPCC contests? I was looking through the archives for the past years' finals, and some of those seem like coins I'd fancy entering myself.

Also, the new avatar is my favourite out of all the old ones so far, even if it is *just* silver. :8D

After the contest ends, I would want to hear the suggestions on how to improve it. One of the things which I would already consider for the next contest is a check if that particular type has already participated in the contest.

Thanks! I do like changing the avatars and pre-war San Marino is my weakness. Silver is a poor man's gold, but some pieces are indeed pieces of art!

That sounds not completely unfair, although by 2178 and MPCC LX, we might run out of good coin types to enter the contest. :O
I think it's fine to have previous winning types since we're voting on the individual coin, not the type.

Agreed. If someone posted an ugly coin from a certain type, no one could ever post this type again, even if you have a very beautiful one. That doesn't seem fair.
I think it's enough (and much easier to check for you Oleg) if only the owner of a winning coin can't put that same coin in competition again.

Makes sense to me.
