Newbie

Hello Everyone,

I am new here and am hoping that I can acquire some better insights into coins in general and the ones I currently have.

I have had an interest in coins for many years now, however, haven't officially started a "collection".
My old man worked at a recycling facility at one point and it's amazing what can be picked up at those places.

He brought me a - butter cookie container - filled with coins - someone just threw away.
I haven't decipher what's rare or potentially have a real value but I am interested in understanding more about the ones I have and potentially, the ones I would like to acquire.
