Listings on non-USA eBays

I have been on eBay US since September 1997. In the past, as eBay expanded into its UK, Australia, France, etc., versions, it often copied some of my listings onto those sites. (I even believe that there were some duplicated sales, when the US listing was sold, but the world listing was still active.)

To my knowledge, Buyers around the world can access the listings on eBay US.

Now eBay US is asking Sellers to sign up on a program to list their listings on six international sites.

(One of the requirements is that I change my PayPal account to accept world currencies.)

For those of you that are not in North America, is there any advantage to me to sign up for this program?

As a relatively new eBay seller, that was also my understanding. But it comes to mind that maybe it leads you to not showing up in the "international seller" bar anymore?
I collect anything: If it's Italian or Italian states i collect it even more!

I do not know, but I do not think so. The program only affects six other eBays. There are many countries not covered by those eBays.

Unfortunately, there appear to be some other risks with this program. The third party working with them will translate your listings into other languages for the appropriate eBay. I have seen what Google Translate can do; I am concerned about their accuracy.
And here I am still struggling to set up my credit card account.... 8~

I hope to be able to sell my duplicates and other junk on Ebay someday, but Paypal is going funky on me; I'll have to sort it out someday.
Cass, do you search eBay.com with any regularity, or do you only look at eBay.fr ?

I look at the "international sellers" section when I search for something on Ebay quite often, and I do see sellers from other countries:

But if I want to buy anything (e.g. if you gave me a link to an ebay.com link of something I wanted to buy), I have to change the address to ebay.fr to actually purchase it, since I'm logged in there.

I'm not sure why they have seperate Ebay sites for different countries, when you can see vendors from other countries on your's Ebay anyway; why not just have different language settings for one site?

Ebay's policies have changed many times over the years. Sometimes our listings are viewable worldwide; sometimes they try to charge for your listings to be viewed by other sites.

I wonder if there is also a tax situs issue with listing on other eBay sites (does an American have to pay British taxes on sales into the UK, if the ebay.uk listing gives the Seller a UK tax "home"?)

For years, about 60% of my sales went to international Buyers; now, they are much, much less. A strong dollar does, of course, account for some of this; but I think that eBay's policies have also affected this.
