Quote: 0gramzis there anywhere you can find population data
If you mean the population of coin-producing countries, you can usually find that in the Krause catalog details at the beginning of each country section, for example "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, located off the northwest coast of the European continent, has an area of 94,227 sq. mi. (244,820 sq. km.) and a population of 54 million."(quoted from my 2009 36th Edition 1901-2000)
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
no im talking about population data which is how many coins of a certain type are recorded graded .say 1 penny uk they have 1 thousand 1930 that have been graded (example)that would be the population data for that date .but i was wondering if there was anywhere you could find this data ? so i would know which coins were good to get graded if only maybe 1 or 2 examples existed on grading record .

Each grading agency maintains their own population data for the coins they have graded. I have seen data for British India coins that came from NGC, simialrly PCGS and ANACS have data on the coins they grade. Try their websites, here's the one for PCGS http://www.pcgs.com/pop/
excellent i just checked it out very good data for world coins i couln't find before now i have better understanding of which coins would be better to get graded that only a few exist slabbed
i have no idea id guess maybe if they're lower mintage rarer dates .it seems to make sense. if there is a 0 pop date on a rare coin and you have one in nice condition i guess it would be considered the best specimen available untill someone else with a better one got graded could make it worth 10 times the value plus it would be authenticated
