Not a statue.
Not something you wear.
It is normally found inside the house.
Parts of it could be metal. Although a very small %.

Is this decorative item related to a particular season/event?
As in, can this decorative item be used all year round, or would you only get it out for a certain time of year?

Nope, no star.
Not related to a particular event. Its normally not used for anything. Its a all year long item.
Not a picture or frame.
Its pretty noticeable. Hard to miss.

Not a picture of kids.
Is usually not attached to anything, nor is it hung, as a rule.

Perhaps an aquarium?
It's the only decorative thing I can think of that has glass, metal, plants and pets inside a house.

I was actually thinking of one of those aquariums for people who own lizards as pets, but I guess they're the same as the ones used with water for fish.
Okay, my item;
It's commonly, but wrongly associated with France; and most of us have probably had this item before at some point in our lives.

Yes, something you eat.
Although not the obvious one you might be thinking of; the shape of this item is (supposedly) derived from Islam, but it was created in a predominantly Catholic country (not France, though it is associated with it).

Quote: "yvon" Croissants..?Yes, a pastry; and yes, croissants!
Supposedly derived from the kipfel, a viennoiserie that was also supposedly created to celebrate the defeat of the Ottomans at the 1683 Siege of Vienna in the Great Turkish War (1683-99). Key word supposedly, because we don't know for sure.

Was it developed by man before the Industrial Revolution? It was not really devolped by man completely: it already existed and then man saw the possibilities and
gradually made it more usefull. Sorry for my poor farmers-english, but by the time the answer is there

And why would a businessman like to sell clocks over other things?
Maybe I made the thing to difficult or the valued fellowcoincollectors think in the wrong direction.
I will give a hint here; it has nothing to do with numismatics, but with some fantasy, it has a small
connection with filamatics (If I wrote it right, I mean the poststampcollecting)

Maybe I made the thing to difficult or the valued fellowcoincollectors think in the wrong direction.
I will give a hint here; it has nothing to do with numismatics, but with some fantasy, it has a small
connection with filamatics (If I wrote it right, I mean the poststampcollecting) Well , but it lives and have a heart and some businessman would love to sold and gain extra money :)
your hints are correct i just I think abstractly.
Former numista referee for Poland and half of african countries.

Quote: "Fire Blade5" Should be a pigeon then. Like those who people buy to release on weddings. Once released, they go back to the dealers and they are sold again, and released again, and returned again...Yes, you are right. To be more specific a homing-pigeon. I do not know if that is the exact translation, but
what I had in my mind was: (in Dutch) 'postduif'.
Congratulations, it is your turn to give us headache.

Is it something used in a game of pool or billiards?
If so, then maybe billiard chalk?
If not how about the triangular pool ball holder?

Yes, it is used in pool/billiards games, although I’ve seen it mostly in snooker.
Not a chalk.
Not a triangle.
Not a score keeping device.

What about a position marker? (Just place the marker behind the ball whilst in play and clean away any dust or dirt)
The only other thing a referee uses is white gloves.
