It has only very recently come in to general circulation and I have added a nice fresh new one to my collection as I have been led to believe that the Australian Mint is saying this may be the last form of the Australian $50 dollar note. Apparently the Mint thinks that with the surge in the use of "cards" there may not be much call for anything above a $20 dollar note, therefore they are considering dumping the $50 and the $100.
Has anyone else heard this?
