Japan -- 1 yen, 1897:

For Japan, I'll post some of the pre-Meiji restoration coinage:

ND (1853-65) Japan 1 Shu Gin - Kōmei
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces10811.html

ND (1837-54) Japan 1 Bu Gin - Tempo
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces16403.html

ND (1832-58) Japan 2 Shu - Tempo
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces16677.html

These were minted in Edo under the Tokugawa shogunate, which dominated Japanese internal politics for over two centuries until the Imperial court under Emperor Meiji was "restored" to actual power during the Boshin War (1868-69), leading to the modernisation of Japan.

Plus one more of the modern machine-struck coinage:

3 (1870) Japan 50 Sen - Meiji

Slightly offstruck reverse.

Since most of the Jersey types I have have already been posted, here's one coin that I find particularly interesting:

ND (1954) Jersey 1/12 Shilling - Elizabeth II (Liberation)
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces7741.html
This coin was minted in 1954 to commemorate the 9th anniversary (!) of the liberation of the Channel Islands from German occupation at the end of WWII in 1945; but it is dated 1945 like the original issue (posted by Iainmac above) was.

I remember seeing this 1945 dated coin with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, and thinking this coin was a mule of sorts when i first bought it. :O

Same as, when i got the QEII thought it was a mistake, disappointed when i realised it was a genuine issue! 8~
