Christmas and new year additions to your collection

Hi all,

I thought that now all the Christmas excitement and busyness has started to die down that it would be a nice idea to post pictures of your numismatic presents.

Here is is my Christmas haul, can't wait to see what the rest of you received.

I already posted these all on the December additions to your collection thread, but here they are again, my Christmas purchases. Holidaying in Lisbon, so they're all Portuguese silver commemoratives.












Might extend my holiday to Rome after New Year's since there's cheap flights available, maybe we can make this a Christmas + New Year's additions to your collection thread?

well in fact I did get a nice check from an older relative for christmas, and I spent it the day after.

I never had any coins from Mexico, but now I have added a new issuer, actually two or three - I got some more I have not unwrapped and catalogued yet, from both before and after the Republic era.

I have just received these along with a few Australian coins at a large coin fair in Sydney yesterday.

A 1982 50 Ore from Norway.


A 1963 50 Ore from Norway.


A 1973 Kroner from Norway.

A 1991 10 Kroner from Norway.


A 19692 Kroner from Sweden.

And last but not, the true gift, which is normally out of my price range, so it's the wife's gift, a 1917 2 Kroner from Norway.


This makes an excellent Christmas gift, thanks to my wife and Andrej-Oslo.

Not an addition to my collection per se, but when I met up today with Marco from Filatelia Numismatica Centrale, he gave me this Christmas/New Year present, a keychain made from Italian lira coins:
