Chances of having a second profile?

At this present time, I only have my non British coins listed on Numista, as I do not wish to mix, as this will give me a false total of coins that I have.
This is due to the fact that I collect foreign coins by type and British coins by date. To keep my collections separate, I would need a second profile.
This second profile would be for my Great British coins only, and would not be visible to anyone but me, and would not be used as part of any exchanges, as all of my GB swap coins are already listed on my existing profile.
I do not, and will not create a second profile without permission from the Numista administration members.
I will fully understand if my request is rejected, and would continue to enjoy my present situation on the Numista website.
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

My wildest Numista dream is that one day we would be able to maintain few separate collections on the same profile.
ROMA AETERNA
Feels a little bit weird seeing the demonym of Great Britain written as "Great British". :8D

But I agree with Oleg, would be nice to be able to have various collections (or in my case, different parts of the same collection) on the same account; I want to be able to have all my unwanted coins for swap gathered somewhere without having to put them into my swap list.
We have British coins in Britain, so just a play on words.
Numista has it different. They list coins under United Kingdom, whereas Krause uses Great Britain
The United Kingdom is more correct as it automatically includes Northern Ireland, whereas the true wording of GB is Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Personally, I am not bothered as long as I can find them.

I think Krause uses the term "Great Britain" in order to segregate Irish coins minted after the 1801 Act of Union merging GB and Ireland, that created the UK (so coins like these can be listed under Ireland rather than the UK).
Here is a similar discussion on the website forum which has been accepted!:wiz:
Personally I agree as my GB and NI (Or whatever you want)collection overshadows the percentages of world coins per country shown in colours however I would wish to manage separate collections under the same profile eg.

-Whole collection (subsections below)
-Great Britain and Northern Ireland7
-World
-Silver
-Gold (I wish:))
-Ancient

Until the feature of multiple collections is implemented, I see no other solution as to use other sites for your secondary collections. E.g. you can register your world coins here and UK coins at uCoin or Colnect (but uCoin has UK catalogue only from 1707 onwards).

There's a suggestion on the numista webpage forum for that.
been there and accepted for years... but...

What's stopping you from Just creating a new account for your 2nd profile?

I guess "Numista" = Xavier (or the team ?)

Just that rule Cyncos cited, very responsible of COINMAN to ask permission (maybe PM Xavier?).

But I don't think anyone would really mind if you quietly created a second account, it's not like you're doing it for the same reason as our old friend "moneydog1" did. :D

yes but who would ever know
Yes, being able to have several sub-collections would be great. I have my main European collection, secondary fauna/flora collection, my swaplist ... and as mentioned, the proposal for implementing this has been accepted loooong time ago.

In the meantime I did message Xavier and since then I have a second profile (BramVB_bis). I do prefer to be open about it, as to avoid any possible discussions (swapping/rating with myself, double voting in MPCC, ...) ...

Probably no problem for a second collection, but would indeed be easier to have them all under one profile ...
Just call me Bram

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!
Dear all,
Like I stated in my opening statement, I will not do anything that breaks any rules, so, having openly requested this permission, I am, and will agree to all guidelines/rules I would have to follow.
I have been on the Numista site now for quite a few years, and have enjoyed adding my world collection, adding new coins, adding additional information, and joining in where I can with the forums.
I do not want to be threatened with expulsion, so, being up front with my request, seemed to be the best way forward.
The administration members of Numista can only say no.
