Proof that it pays to go through your pocket change. This coin is one of about 20 estimated to have been made in error due to copper planchets remaining in the machine when manufactured. It is estimated to auction off at around 1.7 million dollars U.S.

The 1943 Copper cent has always interested me particularly in that it seems to have a yin-yang twin in the 1944 Steel cent- but it's probably much less likely for that one to go undercover in change.
