This is a very high-level overview of how complete China PRC is in our catalog. One cell is equal to one KM number. Basically, we have a huge room for improvement. Greens are already in the catalog, red ones are still missing.
There are maybe 15 types of standard circulation coins. Maybe half of those can still be found in circulation. The old aluminium 1, 2, and 5 fens have too little buying power left and have all but disappeared from circulation, though they are still included in annual mint sets. From what I've been told, the old 1, 2, and 5 Jiǎo from the 80s are gone, too. That really leaves just a few newer 1 and 5 Jiǎo and 1 Yuan coins.
There are quite a few circulating commemoratives. Mostly 1 and 5 Yuan. Starting from 1997, bimetallic 10 Yuan. I'd say somewhere around 100-120 types.
The remaining 2000+ types are NCLTs, commemoratives/bullion.

In any case, PM if you need help with any of the Chinese characters in the lettering/translation fields.
I neither collect them nor care about whether they are NCLTs or not I just want our catalogue to be complete and super cool, so as a referee of China PRC I've decided to make an overview and share it with the community.
Well, there are certainly a lot of modern Chinese coins not cataloged yet, not to mention official Chinese medals. I am willingly to add them all, or die trying when I have enough time . At least it's more fun trying to catch pokemon on Pokemon Go
There are 14 types of circulating coins 1955 - 2019, we had all on Numista.
There are 113 types of circulating commemorative coins 1984 - 2019, we had 110 types.
