Our daughter married her Jack on Saturday 14th September 2019, and just before I had the greatest of privileges of walker down the pathway to meet her future husband, she gave me this gift.

It reads as below.

Dad
Loved you first, love you still
Always have, always will.
Today a bride, tomorrow a wife,
But still your little girl, for the rest of my life.
Thank you for walking by my side,
today and always.

Wonderful. ❤️
Lovely!

Omg, it is so cute

Do not worry, it is kept in my special tin with many other items of personnel interest, mostly from my Mum and Dad, so this is just another momento of not only a fabulous day, but also a few days in Tuscany before the wedding and of the whole of our daughters life, so far.

Sadly, the tears have dried up, but the words will last forever.

We now have a granddaughter who is just over two, who will be told the story when she is a little older, so she understands. It is her that now brings tears to my eyes, which usually, is every time I see her. She is visiting today, and watery eyes have appeared again, but I do not mind admitting it.

I know exactly what you mean. Our daughter was married in May of this year and, apart from maybe the day she was born, it had to be the proudest day of my life.

Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
