If there are swap threads, can we place them in the forum specifically for swaps and trade?

Mods, please feel free to move my banknote swap thread.
Tcon, I hope you dont have hurt feelings. My concern dates back to the start of the banknote forum when they moved all banknote swaps even then. I just think that swaps should be in the swap forum.

No worries Oklahoman, You make a good point, so I'll let the mods decide what's best...

Best,

Since the system isn't designed for banknote swaps/trades, then it really doesn't matter.
I disagree. And now visitors to our site have to guess that swaps and trades are found in more than the swap or trade forum. Not user friendly.

As far as I remember from previous discussions is that this is an exclusively coin trading site. People are free to talk about and privately trade banknotes, but they do that at their own risk, without any monitoring, oversight or interference from any moderators.

Having said that, I do agree that more and more people are trading banknotes in here. I for one, have asked about having a banknote catalog section that has the same features as the coins section, but it seems that organizing that is a lot of work and Numista is not interested in doing it. My argument is that there may be enough people who are interested that could potentially organize and moderate it, but we don't know that for a fact.
I believe that it is worth doing some surveys to see how many people are interested and how many people would help organize, maintain and monitor something like that; plus it requires people with the technical know how of running the site who can troubleshoot and maintain it from the IT point of view.

That's my two bits.

Cheers.
Trade only within the US.
I thought about swapping at Colcnet or other sites, but I'm happy here. I don't want too many accounts, and Numista has the best features (justnot for banknotes).

I wish Numista would add banknotes to the catalog for swapping, but I don't think that will happen.

Until then, I don't really know what's best for my banknote swap thread.

Hopefully the mods will chime in.
I just use Colnect to list my banknotes for swap for the lack of some where to list them. But as yet no one from Colnect ever request a swap. I've had several swaps from this site after going to Colnect to see the list and I just send pictures. But isn't the word Numista: Mean the collecting of coins?
BUT I also collect banknotes and think Numista needs a sister site where the swaps can be combine in swaps. And the two sites work jointly.
I don't know did that make any sense?
