Metal rounds that are made out of high purity platinum best bought at near the metal value.
Yes but what is platinum? I know gold and silver. But don't know what platinum is.

Oha B. ... I heard stories about the American school system 8.

It's a member of metals deamed percious because of it's level of scarcity. Also its use in catalytics and jewlery as well as medical applications gives it a high value.

What's one got to do with the other?

I'm sorry but this just seemed needlessly rude, not everyone knows every metal you know, especially coming from a referee.

Sorry thought this a good place to ask questions, guess not. Sorry won't happen again.

I have absolutely no obligation to be nice to any country and/or it's institutions and I don't see how it would have been rude to be upset about the sorry sate of the mediation of general scientific knowledge in an industrialized country. Maybe very direct, but if you are offended by that I feel sorry for you.

Also I answered the question (don't know where the passive aggressiveness comes from) so please don't refrain from asking further questions in the future.

You do have an obligation to be nice. It's the forum policy. And as someone who represents Numista you should know that. If you must have a go at the americans for something, please either leave it at the door or post it on some other website. The point is not "if you are offended by that I feel sorry for you." you shouldn't be offensive in the first place.

Again, where am I talking about a specific person or your compatriots, I am talking about the American school system. Don't be so self-centered and project everything onto yourself.
In my official duties as referee I never was intentionally rude to anyone, so I don't know why you keep rambling about PR stuff.
I am no member of the trigger-warning and safe-space-crowd ... what is and isn't offensive seems to be something very different for you and me but I don't plan on peddling to the lowest denominator.

Last thing I will say about this ... have a nice one.
P.S.: If some mod has to ban me for this one have at it ... I have more than enough things to do on the catalog and over the holidays anyways.

Why say anything about the American school system at all? This is a coin forum, and the person making this thread's profile doesn't even say they're american. Why make an potentially offensive comment for no reason?

Good evening Gentlemen,

Please let's be a bit cool blooded. Numista is a numismatic site where collectors from all over the world share their passion, in their own words. It might happen that some culture is more "politically correct" or not.

These comments were not aiming at insulting anybody. Only the expression of an opinion.

I sincerly hope that all stakeholders will accept to cool down.

Enjoy your evening.

I didn't mean to start something. All is good. I notice you get all types of people on all websites. Like Facebook, don't like what is said just scroll past it. Besides living in Germany I'm use to it. To all, have a MERRY CHRISTMAS. Hope for new swaps in the new year.
