So with the previous post using my half flip coin cards, they fit into a coin flip half sleeve.

I'd be interested to know what program you use for the formatting of the labels .. ?
? Format  Format  Format ?   ?
Do not argue with ignorant people .. !! They will drag you down to their level, then pulverize you with experience ...
MS Excel, I have another post about the sheet, I can provide the xlsx - gotta be proficient in sorting. It works with the Numista downloaded format.
This is efficient indeed, but it seems that there's no way to inspect multiple coins quickly when they are stored in this way.

For newer forum users interested in the coin storage solutions (including drawers), here's a very useful older thread: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic4356.html

May I ask about this "half flip" thing? Did you simply cut them in half? :-)

Yes sir, that was the most painful part for me, I dont cut so straight - was glad my wife cut them all for me.
I made them the height of the drawer (about 35mm tall)
Once I made one, I used it for a master and my wife just laid the master on top and cut.

Non-PVC-free for sure...

A very good way to destroy all your collection.

Nope, not true at all, I use very high quality non PVC flips

Just one example above

actually I use magnetic fields and suspend each coin in the air within each NON-PVC coin flip

that is why the mega giant AMPEX uses the same coin flips, so they can completely destroy their inventory, Jeeze, was wondering how many of us Americans comment on the French site? probably none.

*why are there always haters?

I've never ordered from APMEX but it is entirely possible they use PVC holders for shipping. Since PVC is safe for "short term" storage there would be no harm shipping coins in a temporary, inferior holder.

Personally I use the PVC-free Saflip holders you linked to as well and have no problem with them :wiz: Cutting them in half is an interesting idea to double the storage....

Good4you coinmike you found a nice storage idea.
As regards your hate speech towards French people it seems to be a far too simple generalization as if I told you to do like your country akakaka nuke us if you disagree a policy.

So please don't jump too fast on silly conclusions just because of a friendly misunderstanding

still getting emails for this xlsx format, up to version 2.4g
I'm not a "hater", but I am concerned with some aspects of this solution:
1. is the paper in direct contact with the coin? The holder may be PVC free, but ordinary printing paper contains all kinds of substances (acids), in particular to make it white.
2. whoever uses a laser printer: printer toner has the bad habit to stick to plastic surfaces if it is in contact with it for a very long time. I think we have all seen old plastic binders with paper 'glued' onto it through the ink or toner used.
3. the halved holders are now open on one side, leaving the coin exposed to the outside climate (moisture, gasses from cardboard, plastic, or lacquered wooden boxes) more or less freely.

Your solution is definitely cost saving and attractive for presentation, but perhaps not the best one for the very long term. Could we, as a community, draw up 'requirements' (says the IT consultant...) for long term storing of coins?

I was worried about the paper also, so I started taping the paper card to the OUTSIDE of the flip, the flips are stored in a container, not air free but air reduced, and yes, these are for short term use as these are my duplicates I hope to trade or sell rather quickly.

Mostly the point was to OFFER AN XLS sheet for users to use with the NUMISTA DOWNLOADED FORMAT. Everyone wants an info card and folks usually use paper in a printer, I suppose we could use a paper made for coins.

Ive seen the same exposure issues on just about everything , even full flips are not air tight, a capsule is better, but not perfect either.
