Hello,
Your answer looks like very automatic reply  :)

I ran through your list,
sorry, - Islands of Georgia?? islands of Estonia?
Coins of islands of France ( not colonies) , and after - coins of colonies of European countries. .... mmm ,...

Coins of Viet Nam islands?

Have I slept during the global changes in world politics or numismatics ?

I think You need to update your list from 3020 to 2020 :)

yours,
David

I have flipped through your list,
excuse me, - Is it Georgia? Estonian Islands Coin Vietnam Islands? Did I sleep during global changes in world politics or numismatics? I think you need to update the list from 3020 to 2020 :) Regards, David
Hello David!

Thank you for reading carefully. Indeed, in Georgia there is not a single island on which anything is minted ...) I corrected. ))

And in Estonia there are several islands on which commemorative or historical medals and souvenir coins were minted for tourists:

“coins of the Vietnam Islands” - these are some military tokens from the war and modern tokens for tourists:

Of course, these are not coins in the literal sense ..

My interest and my hobby is to collect a review and my own catalog of photographs of coins on the topic of geographical islands. As far as I know, so far no one has collected coins for islands in any country. I’m interested. This is a complicated and long topic ..
Please tell me if you know if there are other forums and sites on the Internet that may be collectors who may be interested in this topic.

Is Singapore considered too? (8 I mean we are technically an island nation. But we do not have a lot of really interesting coins here though...

Of course, Singapore is an island. And around it there are still other islands that belong to Singapore. ))

&
  • Satumu island (Raffles Lighthouse coin)
  • Dolphin Island Resorts World Sentosa (elongated pressed coins of Sentosa island)
etc
What are you interested in? (8

Are there really any Armenian island coins? I have trouble thinking of Armenian islands in the first place.

(...Actually, on further search, there's this type, though I'm not sure if it's eligible.)

hmm well, I guess you are looking more into tourist tokens and non-circulating coins.
I may have some tourist tokens from Sentosa lying around at home but I'm not sure if I will be able to find them. And for the non-circulating coins, I may be able to buy some directly from the mint but I think it will be quite expensive. The only thing I have ever bought from the mint here are the proof sets. They are super expensive though. One set costs 18 dollars and that is during the promotion season and if you are not a member, the price will be 20+ dollars which is easily a few times more than the face value.

And in case you're wondering, Pulau Jurong and Pulau Bukom are closed to the public and I'm pretty sure Pulau Sambu is part of Indonesia. (8

This island belongs here and there:

"""COINS MALAYSIA – SINGAPORE. Poeloe Samboe, Asiatic Petroleum Co: Uniface Tinned-iron Cent, c.1920, impressed reverse, 29mm (LaWe 559c RRR). Minor rust, good very fine for issue.
Poeloe Samboe is an oil transhipment facility in Singapore Harbour"""
