Maundy Money

Received a letter this morning, inviting me to buy a GB launch set of coins.
As it stated in the letter, although we went decimal in 1971, these four coins are still issued on Maundy Thursday, (which is today), with the same face values as they have always been. i.e. 1d, 2d, 3d & 4d.
Does any other country still issue any commemorative coins which has older style face values on them?

To the best of my knowledge, although the design remained unchanged, the value was updated on Decimalisation Day to the new decimal pence.

According to my letter from the London Mint Office, all specifications remained the same, even using the 1952 portrait of our Queen.

As the coins do not actually carry a 'd' or 'p', I assume it could be either, but I still think it's 'd'.

Don't believe everything the LMO tells you, you will find more accurate information from the Royal Mint who issue the coins.

I have just contacted the Royal Mint for clarification. I will let you know their reply.
