Hi, everybody.

I went back home yesterday after a 2 months confinement in the south-west of France.

I am now ready for new swaps.

Take care of yourselves.

Welcome back Jean! I reckon if you're going to be confined, the South of France is as good a place as any. :wiz:
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

You're right8)It was a "golden exile" as I had a beautiful flat on the Hendaye Beach, 2 kilometers from the Spanish border. But man must finally come back home some day ;)

It turns out that this was not as dangerous as the media lead us to believe, how is you economy after all this?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Looking for pre 1783 coins

I wouldn't say that, there's almost 300,000 deaths from the disease so far, with that number set to increase when countries start reporting deaths from all sources rather than just hospital deaths.

Latest modelling suggests that by June it's set to become the biggest cause of death in the USA. It's currently second behind heart disease

What? Me Worry
Nah mate, the biggest killer in the US is abortion by a wide margin.

100% accurate.
Looking to continue completing my collection.

I am currently only trading in the US. Will consider international if swap is good and worth it.

Sorry, but nope. Even if you consider abortions to be deaths (I won't go into the politics on that one since it's against the forum guidelines) daily abortions in the States are around 1,700. Covid deaths are well over 2,000 per day in the states at the moment and estimated to rise to 3,000 per day by June.

I agree, also I think we are all reopening too soon cases are still rising in many areas including the hospital where I work, and reopening the economy will only accelerate the case and death rate. But at least I can now go get a haircut....🤦‍♂️

They are gonna get it anyways just the lock downs were put in place so the hospitals are not overwhelmed but know they are not or at least most hospitals are not overwhelmed.

No they're not 100% accurate because they're only reporting hospital deaths, so the toll is likely to be much higher. The hospital deaths are pretty accurate though because they're reporting people who have died after testing positive for the virus.

You might like to read up about the history of the 1918 influenza epidemic. Social distancing regulations were put in then as well and they managed to slash the death toll. The US cities that relaxed the restrictions too early had big bounce back in the death toll. They were pretty strict back then too. One city had three people shot by the military when the refused to wear masks in public. Social distancing works.
