Find out who wants my coins

Hi!

Pretty new to this website (Signed up 2 days ago :) ). I have logged all the coins I have and made 2 separate collections, 1 for keeping and 1 for swapping. How do I find out which people are interested in a particular coin I have so I can contact them and swap them for 1 I want and they have?

Thanks!
The system is currently set up the way user has to search for coins he likes (which is narrower search), rather than showing all users who would like to get your coin (which is extremely wide search). With latter you would end up with probably all users liking your coin. Now, how do you chose the one who will actually want to swap with you? I guess, the better question for you to ask would be how to find people who are interested in specific (year) mintage of the coin you have.
Just my humble opinion...

I should have phrased my question better, I am pretty new tbh to coin collecting as a whole. I'm looking mainly to get modern circulating coins from around the world but I am interested in older historic coins as well. But as you said, how do I find the person who is interested in my coin, especially still circulating ones I have. On the website I only see that a certain coin is available to swap from some people, but I would have to contact each of them with an offer while not knowing if they are interested in any of my coins. It would be much easier in my opinion to find someone who is interested in getting my coin (For example "John2948 is looking for this coin) and get into contact that way.
Hi
As noted in different words, you don't. You input your swap list and "wait with the bait" or as also noted, you play Forrest Gump and do the search for the lucky swapper called needle-in-the-hay-stack by your self. B)

xD, looks like I am gonna have to put some work in then. Thanks for helping with this!
We do have the great functionality called "start a swap" (in the Exchages-tab on top):
https://en.numista.com/echanges/index.php

Here you can search for people who might be interested in your coins. But beware that not everyone keeps a correct wish-list, but it's better than noting to start with. One tip: if someone is interested in ALL your swaplist, that most probably means they don't really use the wish-function.

Good luck swapping!
Just call me Bram

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!
That's a neat function, I'll definitely give it a look. Thanks!
It is impossible to find people who want your particular coins, nobody marks a particular coin that they are looking for. Plus, there are a lot of members who have the same coins as you available for swap.

If you want to show your collection to potential swappers, you can create a post at the "Swaps and Trades" section. And usually, several people will look at your profile and may initiate a swap if they are interested. In a week or two, you may want to add to that thread that you are still interested in swapping.
