IMHO 1⁄12 thaler is correct name. coins, that do have nominal value written on them, do not use groschen name. They are fractional thalers.
Older coins do not have any name written on them. When they start getting numbers on coins, they use fraction of thaler nomination. First groschen with name as nominal value shows up only in 1762.
