This listing has the word ‘Undetermined’ in the date lines;

N#203298 .

The word ‘Undetermined’ should NEVER be included in a listing of dates.

Aidan.

There is non unless you yourself own an entry that is undetermined, be it entered by yourself or moved their by an admin when new variants were entered to a page with only general or only a singular yearline and there was no way to put the owners in the right line.

Nother one that needs the word ‘Undetermined’ removed from the listing;

Clearly from the 1945 issue.

Hello, Aidan.

I understand your discomfort with this term appearing on the first line of records (when there is more than one variant of year or type), but this information is necessary for basically two reasons.

- One of them, Idolenz already mentioned. When we need to move users between records and there is more than one variation in the record, the users are moved to this line. The same happens when records are deleted and we need to direct which record the previous link goes to.

- The other reason is that some users may prefer to include their banknotes (or coins) in this line, simply because they are not worried about defining the year/type/signature or anything else (each collection and way of organizing is a particular universe!). I've done this myself with older coins, when we can't identify the year or type... I put it in the "undertemined" line and we follow the course. =)

In summary: the term "undetermined" does not suggest doubts about registration or anything like that; it is simply operational and necessary.

Vladimir.

If you move your banknote to the correct yearline (in this case with or without plate letter) the line “undetermined” will just disappear … as if by magic.

We cannot see what note you have in your collection, so you'll need to do that yourself. If you don't assign it to a specific yearline, then it'll stay “undetermined” … like the word says.

Aidan.

If someone has not specified which date they have, it gets listed in ‘Undetermined’, as the date is not specified.

I think ‘Unspecified’ would probably be a better term to use.
