Quote: "Fluke"Decided to treat myself yesterday as I spoiled everyone else this Xmas.
1902 Crown, very high EF+ grade, Bit pricey but well worth it. (The images are scanned, seller images, not mine)
Beautiful coin and had to have it, I wont be getting any more until next year.
My Mrs and son got me some cute crown sized sentimental bullion coins.
Oh sweet! May I ask the eternal question... how much did you pay for it?
I've still got two more to come before the end of the year, hopefully they'll come in the mail on Tuesday or Thursday or they'll have to be my additions to my collection in January. I've had to be patient with the mail because we only get delivered every second day. We got delivery on the Thursday of Christmas eve, there was no delivery on Friday and Saturday for Christmas and Boxing day, we don't normally get mail delivered on a Sunday or Monday so it'll be a whole 5 days without delivery when we get our mail tomorrow
It's been a great year and I've already got things planned for the upcoming year. I hope to get a whole lot of Pacific coins to swap/give away to Numista members, so if you're into pacific island countries watch this space, and have a great New Year everyone.
I'm waiting for a few last purchases but some ones may be paid in 2016. I would count them as January additions, except only one from Catalonia.

Ah it showed up today, I got one of each of the 4 dates of the Territory of New Guinea shillings, a 1944 Territory of New Guinea penny, which is a spare, and this Territory of New Guinea threepence which I've been looking for for a while. As per usual for these coins, the strike is a bit weak, but still a nice piece
I just need the sixpences and those troublesome George V halfpennies and pennies now
